Amanda Jewson, an Ontario sleep consultant and owner of Baby’s Best Sleep, heard about us through a sleep consulting group where we had been featured to present a special training session. We had already been working with some other sleep consultants, so when Amanda came our way, we were excited to help her.
She was already a professional, so working with her was easy. She was already working hard to get her business going. However, like many business owners who are just starting out, she was frustrated at the lack of traffic coming to her current website. She had been in business for about a year when she came to us, and she was ready to take things to the next level.
At that time, the website was averaging 350 visitors per month, which honestly is pretty amazing for a sleep consultant in Toronto that had only been at it for one year. However, since she was ready to move forward, we quickly realized that Amanda’s current website was rather outdated and not a WordPress site, so we recommended that she have a new website built to help both SEO (ranking and traffic) and conversions. She was happy to do so, and we spent a few months working with Amanda to get her new site up and running.

Through this process, Amanda agreed to update any duplicate content on her site (Sleep Sense blog posts are often copied directly), and also to add additional pages to speak to the tired moms and dads that were visiting her website. She allowed us to add some city pages to reach out even further into her community and the results have been amazing.

Through a new website and SEO, we were starting to see results.
1. The Beginning
Once her new site was up and running (April 2018), we started working on the front and backend of her website to get her ranking for keywords in Toronto and get more traffic in that area. By October (six months), her traffic had risen to 914 users, which was a 161 percent increase in traffic.

We continued to add pages and Amanda kept working on her side of things – teaching, promoting, videos, Facebook, Instagram – you name it. By January 2019, users had risen to 1,383, which is a 295% increase. As more sleep consultants entered the scene, we made sure to watch the rankings of important keywords, and we would change those keywords as necessary to help her stay high in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP).

3. An incredible 1,334% increase
By October of 2019, the site had 3,573 visitors, and in January of 2020, the site hit 5,019 visitors. Since we met Amanda, her business has grown to the place where she has hired another sleep consultant to work with her, she has started a podcast, and she continues to teach and grow her business.

The best news is that Baby’s Best Sleep continues to rank as the #1 sleep consultant in Toronto and all of Toronto. She ranks #2 for “Best Sleep Consultant in Canada.” When you can rank #2 in an entire country, you’ve got something to be proud of!
